These terms are an agreement between you and MOBIWAY TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD ("we", "us") about the Android application Markdown Reader & Editor, package com.mobiway.markdownreader ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google Play's own terms apply to the download and to every purchase made inside the app, alongside these terms.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you control, for personal or business purposes.

You may not resell or redistribute the app, or attempt to defeat the checks that separate the free version from Pro. Aside from that, there is nothing unusual here: no account to create, no usage quota on reading or writing, and no requirement to be online.

The documents, projects and folders you create or import remain yours. We claim no ownership of them and no licence over them.

Your files are stored on your device. We do not host them, cannot read them, and have no way to recover them for you — there is no server holding a copy. Keeping your own backups is your responsibility; the export and backup features exist to make that easy.

You are responsible for what you open and store with the app, including having the right to use any file you import.

The app is free to install and free to use for reading, writing and organising documents.

The free version shows advertising, supplied by Google AdMob, and limits file exports to three per day. That limit counts documents written out to a file; it does not count sharing, copying text, or making a backup.

Pro is optional. It is sold in two forms, and both are billed by Google Play, never by us directly. Current prices are the ones shown on the Google Play listing and inside the app for your country.

Weekly subscription

Renews automatically each week until you cancel. New subscribers may be offered a reduced price for the first billing period; after that period it renews at the standard price. Cancel at any time in Google Play under Subscriptions — cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Lifetime

A single payment, with no renewal. It stays attached to the Google account that bought it, so reinstalling the app or moving to a new device restores it on that account.

• Full document comparison — the free version shows only the first few differences

Those four are the whole of it. Every other feature of the app is available without Pro, and manual backup stays free.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, not by us. If you believe something was charged in error, start with Google Play; write to us as well and we will help where we can.

Google Drive backup is off until you turn it on. When on, the app writes to a hidden, app-only folder in your own Drive using the drive.appdata scope, and keeps your five most recent snapshots. It cannot see or touch any other file in your Drive.

The storage is yours and is governed by your agreement with Google. Revoking the app's access, or deleting the app's data from your Drive, removes those snapshots — we cannot restore them.

How this data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may add, change or remove features as the app develops, and we may update these terms. When we change them we update the date shown at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.

If a change to Pro would reduce what an existing purchase covers, we will not apply it retroactively to a lifetime purchase already made.

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data. Because your files live on your device and we hold no copy, please keep your own backups.

Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, where MOBIWAY TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
